About
Accina was born as a reaction to trance.
The project started after a night at a rave where the music took its creator into a state he had no words for. He went home wanting to understand how sound could do that, and has been working on the answer ever since. The name Accina is anicca spelled backwards, the Pali Buddhist word for impermanence: everything changes.
On the dance floor it comes out as darkpsy and forest music pulled towards psycore, hitech and tekno. Expect dark atmospheres, glitchy textures and groovy leads, like the Scandinavian forest at night wired into a machine.
Behind the project is a sound engineer from Malmö who plays harmonica, guitar and bass and a handful of other instruments. For more than half a decade he has released music on independent labels in Sweden, Germany, Canada, India and Mexico, most recently the EP Mesmerize on Berlin’s Curiosity Pill.
For Accina, dance and rhythm are tools for exploring the universe and ourselves. His sets are a space to do that, and to have fun while being blasted with full-power sound.
